As usual, I can't resist wearing a new purchase no matter what the weather is, and after purchasing this gorgeous skirt from new look I just had to wear it, even if the rain has been pouring ALL DAY in Manchester. I am in love with wearing leather jackets and blazers this spring, even if it's led to more than a few days of looking like a drowned rat on the train home (maybe it's time to invest in a decent umbrella? is there a such thing?)

I put my hands up, I really am such an irregular blogger, I'M SORRY! Work has taken over my life, but hopefully with a little more time on my hands I can throw a few outfit posts in a bit more regularly.....

Spring has (kind of) arrived and as usual I'm far too early to bust out my summer wardrobe and consequently am left shivering on the train platform wondering why the hell I thought it was warm enough to go without a coat yet. I'm currently updating my wardrobe with a few key pieces for spring, though I can't say my ghost like complexion will be covered with pastel jeans/tops/anything (even the thought makes me shudder, oh why was I not born with an olive skin tone? WHY?) but I am 100% on the vibrant bandwagon. This summer I'm determined to get braver with colour blocking and failing that wear a statement bright piece rather than wimping out like last year ("I'm interpreting the colour blocking trend by painting my nails green" zzzzzzz!).

 I still love a sheer shirt, this is my FAVE because of the clever black panel across the boobs so I don't have to bother with a black vest top underneath, the time putting one whole extra layer on in a morning could be much better spent asleep in bed, just think about it!

OOTD; New Years Eve

I've laughed, moaned and drunk through probably the most bizarre year of my life, and I plan to spend tonight the exact same way (can't resist a moan even on new years). It's not been the best year, I learnt a lot and lost a lot but here's hoping that next year will be a massive improvement!

My cheeky new years resolution is definitely to get the blog back on track, I know I'm the shittest when it comes to making regular posts, I promise I'll try to be more consistent next year I just haven't had bloody time!

OOTD #019; Winter Has Arrived....

It's been so cold in England these past few days, so my winter wardrobe is definitely out! The contrast of freezing cold outside and heating on full at work has meant this cape and scarf have been essentials walking to and from work. I've really been loving a berry lip, and Nars Scarlet Empress is my personal favourite, I've been using it in combination with a lip balm for a slight tint or going for a dramatic look with minimal eye makeup. I'm still yet to start my Christmas shopping (oooops!) but I can't wait to hit the Christmas markets in town and pick up some gorgeous gifts!

OOTD #018; Leather Legging LOVE!

I've been updating my winter wardrobe slowly, I had to get a pair of leather leggings! They are so versatile, my favourite way of wearing them are with a massive chunky knit, but I quite like the look with this cropped jumper I have. I've also added some gorgeous chelsea boots and leopard leggings to my collection, I'm still on the lookout for a beautiful cape and the perfect chunky cardi.

OOTD #017; AUTUMN IS HERE!

Between coming into September and the ridiculous winds, I think it's fair to say winter has arrived! I've been trying to get the last wear out of these TIIIINY shorts before it just gets too cold, so I've been pairing them with these gorgeous mohair socks I got from Topshop last year, they are so lush! I'm going to updating my Autumn wardrobe massively as soon as pay day hits, but until then I'm trying to work last years wardrobe. I definitely fancy a poncho (not an ugly betty one), leather leggings, DEFINITELY a cape and some bright jumpers. Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year where fashion is concerned, I love having loads of layers and wearing jumpers and even my gorgeous fur coat has come out (it's never too early!).

Talking of winter, is September too early to make my Christmas list? There's definitely a few things I fancy already!

OOTD #016; This Ain't No Home, It's Hardly A House....

Quick OOTD for you all! I'm trying to get the last use out of my summer clothes and adding some tights to take the end of Autumn chill off! I've had a beautiful weekend of shopping and catching up with my high school friends (shamefully impulse buying a "sheriff" badge.... good for a fancy dress party?!) and generally chilling out and planning out my Autumn/Winter wardrobe with the help of Elle Magazine! I had my interview for a job at H&M on friday afternoon at at 5pm friday night they called me back and I GOT THE JOB! Which means I'm now officially employed and my life is back on track :) Apparently H&M have really intense training and I'm doing mine at the H&M in Market Street, if you guys have shopped in Manchester you'll know how busy it can get, so that should be fun?! 

Anyway, tonight I'm looking forward to Dragons Den and ofcourse the #bbloggers chat on twitter at 8. Both clash with each other, so as usual I'll be turning my head madly between the TV and my laptop!

OOTD #015; She Buys Me Chips and Cheese and I Tell Her That I Love Her, That She's All I Need...

Hi lovelys!

I'm aware this outfit is a bit marmite, personally I like it. I like the bright pink and marigold combination, usually I'm really subtle with colour blocking but I've been meaning to try these two together since I bought these pieces. I'm so happy brights and colour blocking are here to stay through Autumn/Winter, I've loved all the colour in my wardrobe this summer! I'm already excited about the gorgeous jumpers that are going to hit shops soon! (I know, I know.... it's only august.)

I've never tried any cream-to-powder foundations, because I didn't really think they were something that would suit my dry skin. However when this was advertised for dry/normal skin I had to give it a go, especially as there was a deal where if you bought selected makeup you could get a foundation of your choice for £2! I apply this with a Sigma F80 brush as opposed to the sponge that comes with the foundation, and they work like a dream together. The colour "ivory" is the lightest shade in the range, and fits my skin perfectly. This claims to be a foundation, concealer and powder in one, and I'd pretty much agree on the foundation and concealer part, as you can see from my outfit picture, I have a lot of redness and blemishes on my face aswell as dark circles, but with the foundation (I used NO concealer!) my skin is completely flawless. The only thing I have a problem with is that this ISN'T a cream-to-powder foundation, it never turns to a powder, it just stays as a cream and for that reason I'd say it's not very suitable for oily skin as it does give a dewy finish and would not be long lasting on oily skin. This isn't something I'll be using right now, as it is very high coverage, but this is definitely a shout for anyone wanted a high coverage foundation, I'll be using it for nights out when I want flawless skin and the winter, I usually use a lot less coverage in the summer!

Also I realised yesterday, it's VERY close to exam results time, infact I get my results in about a weeks time as far as I'm aware, so good luck to everybody! I'm not returning to college in September so it's not the end of the world if I don't get decent results, but I put so much hard work in beforehand I'm really hoping I'm pleasantly surprised!

I haven't really posted in the past few days because there was a lot going on England in way of riots, and in all honesty I've spent most of my time watching sky news and seeing the Miss Selfridge I was hoping to get a pair of shoes from this weekend go up in flames, not nice!

OOTD #014; Come On Skinny Love, Just Last The Year....

Hello lovelys! It's been so HOT in Manc today, for the majority of the day I've literally been out in the garden in my bikini reading a load of magazines, but I'm going out later for a little bit, so I thought I'd just quickly post my outfit now I'm changed. I think some of the nicest outfits are the simplest, and this is perfect for evening when it starts to go a little bit cool in england - knowing my luck now it'll be humid o'clock! Still loving these wedges from New Look... you can't really go wrong with New Look for shoes can you?! I'm obsessed with Sleek Lipsticks in a major way, I'm flicking between my collection on a day to day basis from my nude bare all to todays heartbreaker. I'm definitely going to pick up some pout paints next time I'm at a superdrug which stocks them, I've read about 248104830213 blog posts on them today and I NEED them in my life! Oh, and I'm hoping to do a leopard print nail tutorial soon, so watch out for that!

OOTD #013; If The City Never Sleeps, Then That Makes Two...

I've been meaning to do an inspired OOTD for ages! I love this parka for summer, it has a second inside layer with gorgeous fur for the winter but i love it in the summer for rainy days! 

I'm currently job hunting and so I've been doing my job homework and researching various A/W 11 trends to impress various employers with, seeing as I'm looking for a job in a fashion store it's probably the easiest way to impress other than what I choose to wear. I took inspiration from Altuzarra's fall collection, which was inspired by an image of Kate Moss in an evening dress with a parka over the top with then boyfriend Johnny Depp. I've always loved the dress under fur coat look, but this is a new one for me, and I love how it makes an outfit casual with so much ease - and so practical for cold england nights!

OOTD #012; Her Kisses May Be A Beautiful Art, But She Don't Really Care About Your Heart...

This is definitely my favourite way to wear a crop. I don't think I'd EVER be confident enough to get my stomach full on out in the UK, and if I did I'd be so conscious of it the entire time it wouldn't even be worth it. Definitely a fan of crops combined with something high waisted and just letting the smallest part of your waist show though, definitely the most flattering! My nail polish has chipped like a bitch, time to invest in a more expensive top coat than natural collection I think?! I'm having the annual haircut tonight, and I genuinely mean annual, it gets cut once a year before holiday every year. Last year was a massive cut (the hairdressers choice, not mine), so this time around I'm going to much more strict on her and get about an inch and a half off. I'm going on holiday to Tenerife on friday, so you'll obviously see a lack of posts (well, none at all) for the two weeks I'm away. I'm starting the packing tomorrow, because I usually think I have something I don't, go in full panic mode at the last minute that I actually chucked out that pair of really comfy flip flops last year etc, so wednesday afternoon/thursday morning packing allows me the rest of thursday to rush to the shops and buy something if I need to.

I'll probably to a "what's in my travel bag" post before I go, and if I get time, a post of actually packing my suitcase. I'm trying to dramatically downsize, luckily the past few years we've been given extra baggage allowance so I've gone a bit mad, but this year although we've still got the baggage allowance I'm gonna try and keep it light, and then I can pick up lots while I'm away.

I'm thinking about picking up a couple of perfumes in duty free, if you have any recommendations let me know! I'm definitely repurchasing my Miss Dior Cherie, but I fancy trying something else aswell :)

7 Days In Topshop & NOTD.

So, I did my week of just Topshop. I don't think until you start limiting yourself, you realise quite how much you put into an outfit. All my belts pretty much are from Primark, and going a week without a belt really limited my outfit choice. Same with the shoes, the jewellery, I really had to think it out. Even when exercising, I had to think about grabbing the topshop joggers and not the Nike (yep, I know. Nike. I'm one of those "all the gear, no idea" exercisers.) Here are 3 of my "favourite" outfits of this week, I decided not to include all 7 purely because somedays I didn't wear make up and I don't think any of you are ready to see that face! My bodycon got a hell of a lot of wear, it's definitely one of my favourite pieces and it's always on atleast once or twice a week normally so it's no real surprise!

So I took on the ring finger trend using my barry m nail effects in white. I'm a bit late on this trend because I wasn't really sure about it if I'm honest, but Vanessa Hudgens kept reoffending (see below) so I decided to give it a go!

I also sorted out my tops/dresses wardrobe out. I think it's just a case of having too much stuff in a small wardrobe, but I took literally everything out, chucked a few things and shoved other things into my other wardrobe and now there is a good cm of space for more clothes ;) Genuine dream one day is to have a walk in wardrobe, everybody always laughs when I tell them that but I'd probably spend my entire life in it. So in love with clothes it's ridiculous!

Plus I've started decorating the insides of my wardrobe doors. I know some people do the same kind of thing on their walls, but my walls have big canvas photographs already and I don't have a bare wall to donate to, so the inside of my wardrobes will have to do. I have done ONE HALF OF ONE and it took me bloody ages! I love the result though :)

Also on a slightly random note, how gorgeous does Blake Lively look in US Glamour? LOVE the polka dots, and love her, always get inspiration from her style :)

OOTD #011, 7 Day Challenge and GlossyBox Alternative?!

So I'm still working the fashion statement plaster on my poorly short nail! My hairs in absolutely horrendous condition, if any of you have an ~ affordable ~ holy grail conditioning product let me know I need help! And I have booked an appointment with my hairdresser for the first time in just over a year, so I want it to be in tip top condition before she analyses it, I don't want a "I'm going to have to cut 5 inches off" type statement from her gob.

So the Versace archives have been opened for the first time since Gianni's death for Lady Gaga (lucky cow!), who has vowed to wear ONLY Versace for the next two months.

So I'm not a Versace kinda girl, being unemployed and all that, but I'd definitely like to take on the whole one brand rule, but taking it to the high street. So having a quick flick through my wardrobe it's clear I have more Topshop than anything else, so here it is. For ONE WEEK (it's not two months, but I'm no Lady Gaga) I will be purely wearing Topshop. I only decided this today, so I'm starting tomorrow and I'll post the results next week. Head to toe Topshop, I'm talking clothes, jewellery and shoes! 

Also if you were on twitter yesterday, it was hard NOT to see a lot of disappointed tweets with this months GlossyBox (minus those trying to score points and sucking up to PRs "oh i'm so happy with my glossybox!!!!!!" blaaah!) and I'm not surprised. It wasn't that bad, obviously we all knew that nothing really was going to live up to lasts months generously sized Nars illuminator, but the Batiste Dry Shampoo made the thing a bit of a joke, I mean luxury product? You can buy it full size for under 2 quid in savers! I'm definitely glad I didn't throw away a tenner, next months products will definitely be a decider with Elizabeth Arden promised, though with the price going up from Serptember, I'm sure cancellations will be in their bulk.

So recently I've heard about a new alternative to our "much loved" GlossyBox, Boudoir Privé. Again offering a monthly service, where for £10 inc delivery you're given SIX deluxe samples, with a range of make up, skin care, body care, fragrance, hair care and lifestyle. I for one hope I can get my hands on one, and like GlossyBox, these cute little boxes are packaged beautifully, and lets be honest who's NOT swayed by gorgeous packaging?! I hope they live up to the hype and I'll be doing a full review ofcourse! I know a lot of people are cautious as a cucumber (or whatever the saying is) after this months GlossyBox, but I fancy giving this a go.

OOTD #010; I Turned My Back, You Were Gone In A Flash..

I keep trying to do OOTDs but it's always raining these days so have an inside one. I love these shorts that look like a skirt skorts. I've been watching Wimbledon a LOT (not really sure why) and tidying up. The past few days have involved being driven around with one of my friends who's just passed her driving test, becoming obsessed with starting to drive and having a stressful experience in the photobooth getting my provisional photo, and searching for jobs (fun fun fun!). Anyway back to the tidying up, check this crazy organisation out!

Yeah, I really am so bored I've sorted out my dressing table thing out, put my Barry M nail polish into colour order and finally put all my most used rings onto my cat ring thing ;)

Question; Where do you guys store your earrings?!

This is my current method of storage, yep that's right. a clay "bowl" I made when I was about eight years old. It does the job but it doesn't exactly look pretty haha!

I'm going to meet my lovely friend Hannah in town tomorrow, so I'll be testing my self restraint and heading into Boots and Superdrug to buy these bits and bobs, and stick to my spending ban!

OOTD #009; I'm So Clever, But Clever Ain't Wise...

FINALLY the sun is out! It's the first time in weeks I've been out without an umbrella, so happy! I spent the day lazing around, I really am SO bored it's unbelievable, I'm going away in a few weeks so it's useless applying for jobs until I get back, so for about 3 weeks I have to entertain myself while all my friends are still in college, rubbish! Today I gave my room a bit of a tidy and came to the conclusion I have far too many clothes, I literally nearly got suffocated by the mass of tops trying to fit one more in the wardrobe! I'm definitely gonna try out a spending ban on certain things, I'll probably blog more about it tomorrow. It was so beautiful in the garden today, one of my neighbours has moved out and the new people haven't moved in yet, so it was brilliant to go out and not have his aggressive dog barking at me through the hedge every time I move an inch! My other neighbour is in her 80s and doesn't open the windows let alone venture outside so it's so lovely and peaceful! My nails are chipping like mad and I need to redo them pronto, so tonights plans are to have a look at some youtube nail art videos and get some inspiration!

OOTD #008; I'm Just Saying, You Could Do Better. & Leopard Print Nails!

I've not really done much today, just been out to the shops briefly and visited some family. I really don't want to get my hair cut, but I haven't now for about a year and I think I probably should. I just hate the fact with my hairdresser, I say 2cm off, and next thing I've got literally shoulder length hair. But I don't want to end up like Rapunzel so I think I'll have the chop just before I go on holiday :)

So this morning I decided to paint my nails Leopard Print! It's probably one of the first nail art designs I could ever do, because leopard print is so beautifully imperfect, mistakes most of the time make it look better! I've always stick to original leopard rather than colour leopard print as I always get worried it's going to look tacky, even though so many people recently have looked amazing with it. I used 17's Forever for the base, Barry Ms Mushroom for the dots and a black nail pen for around the edge.

OOTD #007; Stop The Engine, Stop Pretending.

Ignore the state of my hair, really wouldn't work for me today so I shoved it in a top bun with limited success. Went out for a meal today, I've been feeling a bit down recently but it really helped to cheer me up. Still in love with these sunglasses from primark, and I got this dress from a one-off boutique in my town for £6! bargain! I love this primarni belt, I think I have about five of this exact belt in black/brown just because I always wear one! I love this cute satchel from primark, and I've been liking a good polka dot on my nails of recent! I'm off shopping tomorrow, so I'll probably end up with a few bits from boots and superdrug as usual!

OOTD #006; But There's A Side To You, That I Never Knew...

I'm going out in a bit for a meal with my family, but this outfit is casual enough for me to spend the afternoon shopping in, that's what I love about this bodycon skirt, it's so versatile. I must of bought it from topshop about two years ago and cost-per-wear must be down to pennys by now, one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe! I have been salvaging a lot of clothes I bought way back, because they're so pretty and I just shoved them to the back of my wardrobe or in draws to make way for new stuff. I love this floral top from jane norman, again I must of bought it going on 2/3 years ago. I never seem to go into Jane Norman anymore, I think it's because it always brings back memories of me in year eight/nine wandering in and picking the cheapest "ok" thing in there purely to get the infamous carrier bag to use for PE! Atleast I know I'm not alone in that, pretty much every other girl in the school did the same thing! I've been trying out my Just Bitten Lipstain as you can probably see here and I LOVE IT! The colour (gothic) is so beautiful and the natural collection lipstick "raspberry" is nearly the exact same colour, so I put that over the top to keep my lips looking moisturised!

Hope you guys are having a good weekend! I should be revising, I have two exams on wednesday I've not even looked at (eeeek). On friday I completely blagged my sociology and when I got really stuck made a story up about a researcher being shot... Looking back I have honestly no idea why and I can only hope that whoever marks it looks past it to see the point I was trying to make. Though Law went well, and seeing as the grade boundaries are much higher for Law I'm glad out of the two I did better on it :)

OOTD #005; Things Can Only Get Better

Despite it not really being warm enough, my summer wardrobe is well and truly out. I was going to hit the garden for pictures but it was raining :( typical England! I must of bought this h&m top winter '10, and found it to be FAR too tight. though I've definitely lost weight on my stomach and it's definitely wearable now, I love the colour and detail! I ADORE these sunglasses from primark, my current favourites and for £2!

AND to add to my good mood my avon lady came today with these beauts, which I got for £12 combined! BARGAIN! I can't wait to try the facial duo sachets, i love facemasks, and these little 15ml perfumes were a bargain at 2.50 each and will be lovely for keeping in my college bag :) 

ANYWAY, back to boring revision, two exams this friday. I wish I was worrying more! xoxoxoxox

I went into the centre of manchester yesterday for a gander in primark, not a good idea when it's raining and ofcourse primark have those infamous paper damn bags! I picked up a few bargains so I thought I'd show you a few in an OOTD. The top (kindof covered completely by the scarf) featured only cost me ONE POUND! I've been checking out this scarf for a few trips so yesterday i decided to bite the bullet and fork out a grand 3 quid on it :) But my favourite purchase is easily this cute satchel! I'm already planning a trip back for the brown version, so amazing for £9!
