Extremely Late September Favourites!

I feel like I've majorly been neglecting my blog recently, I really haven't had a spare ten minutes, let alone a couple of hours to blog. I should start having more time on my hands soon so blogging should be back to more regularly, but please stick with me! Haha, anyway I know this is incredibly late, but I can't see these things changing anytime soon, I've tried stepping up my make up game recently and trying not to go for the whole "primer-foundation-concealer-eyeliner-mascara-red lipstick" combo that I work everyday, and swapping and changing a bit more, and these are definitely things I've been appreciating this month.

NARS Bronzer in Laguna; This is the love of my life. I've never really been that much of a bronzer girl until Bourjois and their block of chocolately bronzey loveliness came into my life, but I haven't even reached for it since this arrived. I know it's incredibly pricey for what it is, and I'm usually the last person to throw my pennies away but this really is something else, the hype is definitely justified.
Topshop Blush in Flush; This is something that had ended up shoved in my make up draw never to be seen again, but I spotted it the other day and the flame has been reignited, I can't believe I forgot what a beauty this is. I'm not really into massive pink cheeks but this gives such a natural flush to the cheeks (as the name would suggest) that I can't help but reach for it, especially when the winter months come and I look an extra off Twilight.
Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen; This is the first felt tip liner I've ever tried and it's just so much quicker to use in a morning than my gel liner. This is my new best friend when it comes to a good winged liner, incredibly easy to use and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an easy alternative to liquid liner, which just seems to equal disaster when I try and use it.
The Beauty Parlour Lip Balm; I saw this stand in Superdrug, and it reminded me a lot of Soap and Glory with the retro looking packaging. I'm a complete pushover when it comes to buying lip balm, I just can't seem to go into Superdrug/Boots without coming out with one. This one smells and tastes like mint, it's just the nicest thing ever! I'm not sure how effective it is as a lip balm, my lips are in good condition anyway at the moment, but purely for the smell and taste it's worth the buy, so refreshing and gorgeous!
Avon Supershock MAX Mascara; This is probably the only favourite that genuinely upsets me, because I love it so much. Sadly every time I use it my eyes water like a bitch, and after one too many days of business men staring while I cry off all my sodding mascara on the train I've had to give it up. It genuinely upsets me because this is a fantastic mascara, and I've never had any problems with other mascaras before so for a while I was convinced it couldn't be to blame. Clearly though it is.
Avon Colourdisiac Lipstick in Red Hot Lips; I've been steering towards the fuchsia side of life late August/early September, but in time for Autumn I've converted back to good old red lipstick, this is my personal favourite, it smells fruity and lasts forever, I can shove this on at the start of a shift and 4 hours later it will still be just as bright and beautiful as it was when I first applied.

I've really been swapping up my face and hair routine too much to write about any products because I haven't used them long enough to form an accurate opinion.
Hope you're all having a lovely (if not really rainy) week!

Can You BELIEVE It's The End Of August Already?! Favourites!

I genuinely can't believe it's the end of August, is it too early to write my Christmas list?! For me September is officially start of Autumn and I cannot wait to get 500 layers on and start shopping for jumpers! I haven't really had many new additions this month, I'm awaiting a little order from Nars and Mac (I say small yet it still managed to make a massive dent in my bank balance) and also VERY excited for the new Fashionista range in Superdrug that launches on the 1st September, I definitely fancy making a few palettes from their beautiful eyeshadows! ANYWAY, onto the favourites this month!

Hair;
VO5 Instant Oomph Powder - I was a bit cautious about this because I'd heard it makes your hair really sticky and minging, and I hate products that make your hair look good, but feel disgusting. I use hardly any of this at all, rub it into my roots and VOILA! Gorgeous volume! I only use this on second day hair, because I know I'll be washing my hair later that day, but I haven't really suffered stickyness!
Sachajuan Hair Repair - This came in this months Boudoir Prive, and it was like something sent down from heaven when it arrived on my doorstep, my hair was in crap condition and this was something I REALLY needed. After using this my hair feels gorgeous and soft and smooth and everyone compliments it and aw I love this and I'll probably have to rebuy it when it runs out, despite the fact it's pricey, purely because I have long hair and I can't neglect it again :) If any of you have cheapo solutions let me know!

Lips;
Topshop Lipstick in On The Town - This is a gorgeous lilac lip colour, and I've really been using this month. I usually go for really bright reds and fuchsias but this is so easy to wear! I've never really liked baby pinks on me so this is my perfect lighter lip shade and the formula is gorgeous and moisturising but still highly pigmented, I really need to try more of the Topshop Make up.
Sleek Pout Paint in Pin Up - I've been using this so much with a touch of Cloud 9 to lighten it slightly, it lasts SO LONG! I can put this on, go out and 4/5 hours later it's still there! The main problem with bright colours is how much of a mess they look when they start fading, and you have to keep reapplying, and the main problem with lip stains is they're not moisturising. This solves both problems and for £5, this is amazing value.
Stila Lipstain in Acai Crush - I think it Stila was a bit before my make-up time, and when I heard other bloggers raving about them coming back to the UK I figured they must have been good. But when I wandered into Boots I realised a lot of the products also have a hefty price tag. I decided to treat myself to this and this is easily the best lip stain I've tried. The staying power of this is INCREDIBLE! Seriously, I can put this on at 8am and it'll still be there at 7pm the next night. It just doesn't budge. The pen packaging is crap, it takes forever to get product out but I can live with that for how amazing the product inside is. Absolutely love this, and I wouldn't think twice about purchasing one in another shade, so worth the money!

Face;
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and MeMeMe Beat The Blues Sunbeam Illuminator - These two combined make my perfect foundation. I suffer from really dry skin, so I steer as far away as possible from matte foundations. I love Healthy Mix alone, but mixed with some of this illuminator my skin looks flawless and dewy and amazing. It doesn't offer brilliant coverage, I'd say medium, but with a little bit of concealer on under my eyes and on any blemishes this is brilliant in the day time. Even in natural light it's doesn't look cakey, just like you've got completely perfect dewy skin. In the winter I'll probably go back to my trusty colourstay, but at the moment I'm loving these two together.

Mascara;
Avon Mascaras (Various) - I've always adored Avon Mascaras. Apart from Supershock which is my holy grail mascara, the others aren't much to write home about alone. But as a second layer over Supershock mascara, they lengthen your lashes incredibly, without lacking in volume. I've always been a massive fan of dramatic lashes, so using these always gets me the results I want, I honestly haven't tried a mascara that comes close without clumpy lashes.

Eyes;
Urban Decay Naked Palette - This was a massive purchase and I put it off for a long time, but it really was worth the money. EVERYDAY since I've had this I've had "Sin" all over the lid, "Sidecar" on the outercorner blended and then "Smog" in the crease. I use "Buck" for my eyebrows, "Hustle" under the corner of the lower lash line and "half baked" I also use under the lower lash line. Seriously every single one of these colours is completely wearable, whether it's the gorgeous matte colours or "creep" and "gunmetal" for a night out. I LOVE this palette to death and none of my others even come close. I'm gutted it took me about a year to actually buy it because I was seriously missing out!

And that's it! I swear these monthly favourites come around far too fast!
What have you beauts been loving this month?!

OOTD #015; She Buys Me Chips and Cheese and I Tell Her That I Love Her, That She's All I Need...

top; H&M, skirt; topshop, bag; H&M, shoes; primark ring; matalan

Hi lovelys!
I'm aware this outfit is a bit marmite, personally I like it. I like the bright pink and marigold combination, usually I'm really subtle with colour blocking but I've been meaning to try these two together since I bought these pieces. I'm so happy brights and colour blocking are here to stay through Autumn/Winter, I've loved all the colour in my wardrobe this summer! I'm already excited about the gorgeous jumpers that are going to hit shops soon! (I know, I know.... it's only august.)
Inspiration from;
Miss Olivia Palermo ofcourse!

I've never tried any cream-to-powder foundations, because I didn't really think they were something that would suit my dry skin. However when this was advertised for dry/normal skin I had to give it a go, especially as there was a deal where if you bought selected makeup you could get a foundation of your choice for £2! I apply this with a Sigma F80 brush as opposed to the sponge that comes with the foundation, and they work like a dream together. The colour "ivory" is the lightest shade in the range, and fits my skin perfectly. This claims to be a foundation, concealer and powder in one, and I'd pretty much agree on the foundation and concealer part, as you can see from my outfit picture, I have a lot of redness and blemishes on my face aswell as dark circles, but with the foundation (I used NO concealer!) my skin is completely flawless. The only thing I have a problem with is that this ISN'T a cream-to-powder foundation, it never turns to a powder, it just stays as a cream and for that reason I'd say it's not very suitable for oily skin as it does give a dewy finish and would not be long lasting on oily skin. This isn't something I'll be using right now, as it is very high coverage, but this is definitely a shout for anyone wanted a high coverage foundation, I'll be using it for nights out when I want flawless skin and the winter, I usually use a lot less coverage in the summer!

Also I realised yesterday, it's VERY close to exam results time, infact I get my results in about a weeks time as far as I'm aware, so good luck to everybody! I'm not returning to college in September so it's not the end of the world if I don't get decent results, but I put so much hard work in beforehand I'm really hoping I'm pleasantly surprised!

I haven't really posted in the past few days because there was a lot going on England in way of riots, and in all honesty I've spent most of my time watching sky news and seeing the Miss Selfridge I was hoping to get a pair of shoes from this weekend go up in flames, not nice!
Anyway, I hope you all have a gorgeous weekend and hopefully we've seen the end of the riots!

What's In My Travel Bag/Travel Make-up Bag!

Hi lovelys! So I usually take three bags in my suitcase, one for haircare and skincare and the other for make up and then I always keep my toothbrush and toothpaste separate in another little bag, which I haven't photographed purely because, it's not exactly interesting stuff. I fly out to Tenerife on friday for two weeks, so hence why I'm bringing quite a lot of makeup. I'm going at about 9am friday morning, which means I have to be at the airport at 6am (eurgh!) so I've packed my little travel bags today, so tomorrow I can do my makeup, just using what's in the make up bag and see if anything missing!

So first, my travel bag of skincare and haircare:
I always bring face packs, just incase my skin gets in quite bad condition, so I've brought these little packs from Avon.

1. I'm hoping to buy some perfumes at duty free, so I'm only bringing one with me, the DKNY be delicious in fresh blossom. This is such a light scent and is perfect for summer. I'm also bringing a spray I got as a little loyalty present from my Avon rep a couple of orders ago, which I love and I'm so grateful to her, because it's something I'd probably never of bought. Anyway it reminds me of summer and holiday, so that's why I'm taking it above my other sprays. And ofcourse deodrant is a must!
2. I'm bringing a comb because this helps detangle my hair and my hair always seems to be worse on holiday, also I can really backcomb and add volume to my hair with this.  A brush, for obvious reasons! I bought this VO5 2 in 1 shampoo so I don't have to bring a conditioner and it's a cute size that should last me the duration. And dry shampoo is a must, and batiste is easily my favourite, I've gone for the Tropical one!
3. Bringing these little nail polish remover pads are so much easier than bringing a big bottle of nail polish remover, and much lighter! I bought a travel size pack of face wipes because I usually use massive packs that would just take up too much room, these are from nivea and I don't think I've ever tried them, but my skin isn't really sensitive so they should work just aswell as all the rest I've tried :) Next are cotton buds. cotton wool and little pads. These are for my toner and removing eye make up, I use cotton buds to perfect my eyeliner aswell if it goes a bit wonky :)
4.I used the little bottles from the hotel bathroom last year, you know those free shampoos and body washes and stuff? Those bottles :) I put my Simple eye make up remover in one, Garnier 7 day moisturizer and my No7 toner in the other. I haven't gone mad this year, because my skins better than it has been for ages and I don't really need a massive skin routine.
5. Bobbles and bobbypins are essentials, I have my hair up a lot on holiday, purely because my hairs really long and I'm about 50x hotter with it down than up. I brought my Vaseline lip balm which I use at night, because I find it takes ages to soak in, but by morning my lips are so soft! I've brought two scrubs, the Clinique scrub and also the Sanctuary one. The Clinique one I'll be using on my face, and the Sanctuary on the rest of my body.

Now my makeup bag!

Now powder is quite essential for holiday, I have dry skin, but even I find with the help of a tinted moisturizer my skin is looking a bit on the shiny side. My favourite of the moment is the 17 Shine Control Loose Powder which doesn't make you completely matte but still controls your shine (hence the name). I use bronzers more than usual when I'm on holiday, because my body tans and my face usually doesn't, probably due to the high protection I always put on to avoid burning. I've gone for the beautiful Bourjois bronzer and my favourite Fake Bake Bronze Shimmer Brick Light, which I'll be putting underneath my tinted moisturiser to give me glowy skin, hopefully! For blushes, I've been enjoying the Topshop Blush in Flush which gives you a cheeky flush of colour, and a Beauty UK Baked Blush in Peaches and Cream, which gives a beautiful finish and my current favourite blush!

I'm only bringing neutral eyeshadows for my trip, and a lot of my favourites are from Avon. I've brought my Avon Quad in Tiger Eyes, which has a perfect colour for my brows, and 3 other beautiful neutral brown colours. Natural Collections Seashell is a perfect base, Clinique sample duo in Sea Shore is perfect for a smoky eye and an Avon baked eyeshadow in Moonsand is a beautiful shade. Not forgetting my Avon Neutral Tone Palette, which is perfect for barely there natural eye makeup :)

Lips products are probably what I'm bringing the most of. I just have such a diverse lip colour day to day, I couldn't NOT bring a couple of shades, plus there's not much you can do with your eyes when you've got sunglasses on all day, so you can really work a more brave colour on your lips. Natural Collection Raspberry is a beautiful "raspberry" shade (I know, I'm an A* Blogger) and as it's one of the moisture shine lipsticks, it's gorgeous for dry lips and a completely bargain at £1.99 :) Sleeks "Vixen" is a classic red, and can be worn fully for a dramatic lip, or put on lightly for a much more wearable colour. Topshop Lipstick in On The Town is a beautiful Lilac colour, which comes more on the lips as a baby pink/lilac, which is a lot more wearable than you would think, I'm definitely keen to get a few more Topshop lippies. 17s Beehive is a must for everyone and can be worn alone or over another shade, just a must have! The Jemma Kidd coral lipgloss free with Red magazine has quickly become a favourite and I love wearing this alone for a slight coral colour on the lips. A clear lipgloss, this one is from Clarins, is essential to put over every lip colour to add some super shine! Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm in Flame is my personal favourite lip stain, and a beautiful colour, that's a lot more wearable than some other bright red shades. And finally Carmex, because it's a bloody essential for us dry lip sufferers!

My favourite eyeliner is easily maybelline gel eyeliner, so ofcourse it's the one i'm taking! Other years i've taken a black, brown, grey, blue etc but I ever use half of them so I'm sticking to boring black. I'm bringing 3 mascaras, purely because I use all 3 on a day to day basis and they work hand in hand to create my everyday eyes and well, I need them all. All worth a try, I don't think SuperFull works very well at all alone, but adds amazing length on top of a good volume mascara.

the primer I'm using at the moment is the one from Avon (I know, this has turned into a bit of an Avon love post) and I'm sure it's not the best out there and I probably won't repurchase but it does do the job. I'm bringing my Healthy Mix foundation to wear at night when I want more coverage and the Natural Collection Tinted moisturiser for in the day. I'll pair these both with the Collection 2000 concealer. Mine is running out, and I'm hoping it lasts me the 2 weeks orelse I'll have to try something while I'l abroad and I don't hold out much hope for any store holding the "milk bottle white" kinda shade. And High Beam, free with this months/last months Glamour purely because it's smaller than my dupe MeMeMe full sized version.

Here's my collection of drugstore brushes I'm taking. These are the brushes I use all the time on a day to day basis so these are the ones I'll be using. Instead of bringing either of my foundation brushes I've decided on bringing my QVS "The Airbrush" as it gives me a much lighter and more flawless coverage, and despite shedding a little when I first bought it, I adore it at the moment. There's a fair few eyeshadow brushes I'm taking as I tend to wear more eyeshadow than I normally would on holiday, and a few angled brushes and my little kabuki for bronzer and blush etc.

l-r GOSH Lavender Love and Peachy, Barry M Mint Green, Berry Ice Cream and Coral And W7 (doesn't say a name).
These are all quite summery colours, and I couldn't only bring ONE nail polish, I'm far too indecisive. I narrowed it down to these 6 favourite summer shades, and I love them all. GOSH nail paints aren't talked about enough, they are beautiful even if they don't have the best shade range.

So that's it! Tomorrow I'm packing, so if I have time I might do a little post, but otherwise from Friday I'll be away for two weeks in sunny Tenerife! I'm not going to have internet access at all, so obviously during that time I won't be able to respond to any comments and I won't be making any new posts, though hopefully on the break reading a LOT of magazines will fill me with a lot of inspiration and ideas of posts I can do when I get back.
Love you all!

June Favourites!

Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Shimmer Brick Light;
This is so gorgeous! A new buy and straight into the favourites, this gives such a gorgeous glow for night time and also will be amazing for holiday! The highlight is so pretty and I use it everyday since I've got it. I also like using this underneath my foundation to create a really glowy look for summer, just gorgeous!
Avon Neutral Tones Palette;
Love this! Didn't use it a lot when I first bought it, but this month I've rediscovered it and it's just so gorgeous! All the colours are so wearable and easy to apply, and seeing as I only ever wear neutral tones in the daytime this palette is everything I'll ever need. Good selection of both shimmers and matte colours, all of which are good quality!
Natural Collection Tinted Moisturiser in Fair;
Again a new purchase, and something I didn't think I would like as much as I do. I bought this purely to see if I liked the tinted moisturiser way of life and I can safely say I am well and truly on the bandwagon, which is a surprise to me as much as anybody else who knows that a few months ago I was strictly a colourstay kind of girl.This is gorgeous for those hot days where foundation is just too much coverage, so for the past couple of days where in England it was HOT HOT HOT it was perfect.
Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Vixen;
This is my absolutely favourite red at the moment (yeah, they all look the same pretty much but that's irrelevant). I love the formulation of the lipsticks, Vixen is so moisturising as well as being crazy pigmented. I've been using this as either a "HELLO LOOK AT MY RED LIPS" bright colour or as a calmer, passing nod everyday type of red lip. Either way I adore this colour and the formulation and sleek are just amazing ok I'm done fangirling.
Topshop Blush in Flush;
This is such a pretty colour! I'm not really a blush person, but I've found myself reaching for this. I love how easy to blend these blushes are, and they then turn into a powder finish, which means they're not going anywhere! I definitely want to try more of the topshop range, I fancy the blushes "head over heels" and "neon rose", aswell as the gel eyeliner, more of the lipsticks, the lip crayons, etc etc. There have been rumours since the make up launched that the Topshop make up line is made by the same company that make MAC makeup, and the quality is definitely amazing for the price, £6 for a cream blush? Craaaazy! Complete with the gorgeous packaging, I definitely need to expand my collection.
Sephora Scented Spray in Pacific Curacao;
These sprays were discontinued a while back, and I'd completely forgotten I even had one. These sprays are about the size of a pen and are seriously handy to carry around. This scent, I have no idea how to explain, it's just like.... the ocean in a bottle. It smells kinda citrus-y and like none of my other perfumes (floral, fruity, sweeeet), but I really like it, and I can't believe I forgot about it. It doesn't last very long, but I'll be using it on holiday and I wish wish wish I could re-purchase this tiny 10ml bottle, damn A) sephora not being in UK and B) them discontinuing this little gem.

Oh, and I can't miss out how much I'm loving the SUN and FLOWERS and SUMMER!

Oh and I've also made sure my art GCSE isn't going to waste and completed such masterpieces as the one above ;)

also HOW amazing is this girls voice? I'm so in love with this track at the moment.

What products have you been loving this month?!

Nine Products I Regret Buying.

So I've been busy during the weekend and what not so I haven't really had time to blog until now. Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday with their dads! As a "family occasion" I took it as an opportunity to wear next to no makeup out, I'm trying to ease myself out of the eyeliner habit ready for my holiday, I'm hoping to get myself a tinted moisturiser at the airport, but I know a lot are pretty hit and miss so I'll probably stick to my healthy mix and a bright lip for daytime and adding mascara and a nice nude eyeshadow for night. I like the fact on holiday you're wearing sunglasses the majority of the daytime so the need for mascara etc is gone and you can focus on a gorgeous lip colour!
So onto the nine (I know, I should of counted earlier and made it ten) products I regret buying. Now don't be moaning that you love one of these products and that they're really great, because I'm well aware that different things work for different people so this is just my opinion etc etc!

Barry M Lip Paint in 100;
I just hate this! I bought it purely on the hype and I heard it was better that 101 Marshmellow known for the gorgeous "foundation on lips" effect it gives. It's a matte white pink, now Barry M Lip Paints are known to be a bit hit and miss, I have a gorgeous coral (151) that is moisturising and just beautiful on the lips but this I have 1 word for - CHALKY. The main selling point is that it stays completely put, but when it looks this awful I want it to disappear instantly. It shows up every problem area of your lips and you can make it look decent by having a good scrub at your lips before and shoving a lip gloss over the top, but for my skin tone it just washes me out completely, and even if it didn't, it's all too much work for me. In contrast Sleek Lipsticks, about the same price are consistently good for pigmentation and not too drying on the lips, even the matte shades. If you were to buy any of the lip paints I'd definitely try before you buy to avoid any disappointment, because some of the shades really are good quality.

Avon Calming Effects Foundation in Ivory;
I'm not even sure if this is available anymore, but I can't stand it. Mine smells like playdough? I don't even know. I got this in the lightest shade "Ivory". I think it must be the shade that every brand gets most wrong. It's always either too orange or the pink undertone too strong. This comes out a light salmon colour, which I've got to say I'm not really a fan of. I like foundations that cover my redness, so a foundation that makes my entire face the same colour as my rosy cheeks just ain't a winner for me. It seems to highlight the dry parts of my skin and just looked cakey shortly after application. The bottle is cute though, so it looks quite nice on your dressing table, that's the only positive I really can give it.

Rimmel Match Perfection Powder in Ivory;
I know you shouldn't write off brands completely, but with Rimmel and their "Ivory" shade I can safely say I'll never be buying from their range again. Should I ever decide to fake tan, this shade would work. But for my skin tone? No. I heard a bit of hype around the time Rimmel released the range and I headed down to pick up this powder. I thought it looked a little orange for my skintone, but figured it wouldn't come out too strong. How wrong I was, this just makes my face orange. Which when you've got a pale body, doesn't look all that great. Something I've literally never reached for since buying it.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse In Ivory;
Does this give you lovely memories to being about 13 and thinking this was the best foundation ever? When on the hunt for a new concealer a few months ago I bought this purely to act as one. I must of been looking at this through rose tinted glasses when I was 12 because on my dry skin this just looks horrendous. It makes me break out in probably record time and I don't even have really ~ sensitive skin ~. This is probably the reason I had horrendous skin when I was younger, and used even more of this to cover it up, which in turn would again make it worse, what a vicious circle! This would probably work ok on oily skin, I don't really know but, on me it just looks cakey.com

2True Cheek 'n' Lip Tint;
Now this cost £1.99 so not the biggest loss of the century, but I was disappointed. Anybody who's even vaguely into makeup can see this is a dupe of "Benetint", with a massive difference in price. Now although this isn't the worst product ever, it's far from the best. the applicator, similar to a nail polish applicator is quite stiff and I really struggle putting this on my lips because it's so bloody ticklish! It doesn't give an amazing colour, but a "my lips but better shade". My main problem with this is the taste. I know you're not supposed to lick the lipstain but, it tastes so chemical and just not good at all. It's a bit too watery in my opinion to even attempt to put on your cheeks and having pale skin, I'd probably end up resembling a clown.

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in Peach;
This just isn't the right shade for me at all. I picked it up in a bit of a rush, it'd look beautiful with a tan but it just doesn't suit me at all, I think the only time I reach for it is when I'm swatching it, so a big waste of money.

The Body Shop Eyeshadow in 13;
This is just so heavily overpriced for what it is. I paid £6 for this, an off white colour that has literally hardly any pigment at all. I like nude eyeshadows, but there's a difference between an eyeshadow looking natural and looking exactly the same as if you haven't applied the eyeshadow in the first place. There is literally no difference between me applying this eyeshadow and not doing, it doesn't even act as a base. Completely useless product, and I could get 6 MUA eyeshadows for the same price, which are bigger in size and better quality. RUBBISH!

No7 High Shine Lipgloss in Whisper;
This tastes so nice, take note 2true! But seriously this has a really nice candy sweet taste I adore! But that's where the positives end. This is meant to be "high shine" so I went for the nudest "whisper" hoping I could put it over various lipsticks. Now made obvious by the clear tube, there is some shimmer going on. But this goes over lipsticks nearly completely opaque, with enough shimmer to keep ke$ha happy. But in all honestly, it's just not that wearable. It's just too shimmery, which is great is that's what you're looking for, but in a "high shine" lipgloss I wasn't and I'm glad I used a £5 no7 voucher because I definitely wouldn't buy this at full price £9.

Barry M Kohl Pencils in Light Blue and Navy;
I bought these to try and add some colour to my eyes during summer. But these are just, too damn hard! I have to press so hard to get any kind of colour payback, these just aren't worth possible damage, though the navy is better than the turquoise in terms of pigmentation. I've heard some people also have suffered from conjunctivitus after using these eyeliners, so whether that's true or not I don't know but I rarely pick up either of these.

What Products do you regret buying?!

Haul; Avon, GOSH, No7, Probably the most awaited issue of Glamour ever...

So I'd planned to go shopping with some of my friends today, and stupid me forgot. Literally ten o'clock this morning, I heard a load of people outside my house banging on the windows, honestly thought I'd fallen victim to a bunch of youths who'd decided to terrorize me haha (it COULD of happened!). Anyway five minutes of me dragging a comb through my hair and shoving on some wonky eyeliner and we were off to the trafford centre. Now don't get me wrong, I love shopping, and I adore my friends, but the two together just doesn't make such a good combination. I always end up buying things I don't really want, spending half my time in shops I have literally no interest in and trying on majorly embarrassing clothes in topshop changing rooms to be taken pictures of and put straight on facebook in the name of humour (ok so the last one I don't mind so much haha, it's always hilarious trying to make the ugliest outfit ever work).

On another note HOW bloody annoying are those women at the make-up counters? Today in boots the benefit woman actually dragged me to the counter after I made eye contact (BIG mistake). I tried to explain I was completely broke and therefore I couldn't afford anything even remotely high end and I was running late for my train anyway so I couldn't stop, but she still found it necessary to gabble on about a load of products for about five minutes and would i like to sample any? No, I'd only come in for glamour magazine thankyou very much, GOODBYE.
So I obviously ended up buying three copies, I've been thinking for a long time about getting a decent cheek/lip tint, so these are perfect samples to test whether it's worth splashing the cash, and then ofcourse I had to give high beam a go! I'm not gonna blabber on about this whole Glamour Magazine offer because I think just about every girl in the UK has discussed it but it really is a good deal, and if you're thinking of trying any of the three now is your perfect chance! But now I do have three copies of Glamour, I might go out on the streets and try and sell them off big issue style.
So while I was in there I popped to the No7 counter on the hunt for something fairly cheaply I could buy with one of my no7 vouchers, and the woman recommended these eyeliners so I decided to give the black a go, when I swatched it in the shop it seemed pretty creamy and I think it'll be beautiful on a night out to jazz everything up a little! It's £7.75 without the voucher and in all honestly I probably wouldn't of bought it full price, but for under £3 it's a massive bargain!
Left To Right; Peachy, Miss Sweety, Hot Coral
Now, I think I'm becoming a BIT obsessed with nail polish. I just can't stop buying the stuff! These were probably a little pricier than I'd like at £4.99 each, but the bottles are just so sleek and beautiful I once again got persuaded by the packaging. I love all three of these colours, Peachy, believe it or not is a PEACH colour (no shit sherlock, I am such a good blogger), Miss Sweety a kinda creamy light peach colour (yeah, something like that...) and Hot Coral, which seems to look brick red in some lights, and a beautiful coral in others, but either way I love it, and doesn't really match any of my other corals, so I'm happy!
Now onto my avon order, I seem to go through catalogues I don't think much of, and others (like this months) I end up buying quite a few products.
First off I got this cute face mask gift set for a "cheap as chips" £3 (apologies for the David Dickinson reference haha, only thing I could think of on the spot). For this there is 12 masks, two of each type!
Secondly, this angled brush was on offer from the usual £6.00 to £3.00 so I snapped it up, you are a FOOL if you live in england and buy any avon brush full price, literally every other month they seem to have some kind of offer on. (I say this when I've bought about three brushes there full price and then regretted it... oops).
Third this pretty nail polish in Golden Twilight which looks a dark browny black colour with gold and bronze sparkles, how pretty! So looking forward to giving this a go, and at a third of the usual price at £2!
Then I got this Magix Face Perfector for a bloody amazing price of £5.25, when it usually retails for about £11. I've wanted to try this for ages, but I had a perfectly adequate alternative and other things were higher on my priority list. However my No7 primer is reaching it's end so I'll be giving this a go. I'm still pretty new on the primer front so if you guys have any recommendations let me know!
Now probably what I'm most excited about, the Jill Dempsey For Avon Professional Corrector Palette. Now I'm pretty sure this is a new addition to Avon because it's something I've never spotted before. This will rob you for £10, but it's currently on an introductory offer of £6, which I think is amazing value considering what you're getting. Now I got the light version but there is also a darker variation. The four concealers each do something, the lilac hides imperfections and conceals dark circles, the pink brightens dull skin and disguises dark spots, the apricot gives warmth to cheekbones and browbones, and the yellow counteracts redness on the face and t-zone. Now I've fancied a palette of this kind for a while so I'm so excited to try it, I really hope it doesn't let me down!

Now that's probably it for makeup and stuff now for a while, I know I keep saying that, but I literally went in both boots and superdrug and resisted the urge to buy any lipsticks! RESULT.
Anyway I have a REALLY fun weekend planned i.e. telling all my friends I've dropped out of college. Cue lots of "you bitch you can't leave me" "are you going to work in mcdonalds now?" and other abuse haha, absolutely dreading it. I really HATE confrontation, I'm one of those people who purposefully will phone somebody at 2am knowing their phone will be off to tell them something via voicemail haha, I'm awful!
Hope you lovelys had a good day! xoxoxoxox

How Much Does Your Face Cost?!

 Face;
Eyes;
 Avon Eyeshadow Quad in Tigers Eye (no longer available) - £8.00 (used for brows and crease)
Lips;

Grand Total; £93.20
So honestly, I didn't expect it to be that much. I don't use high-end products, so I didn't even imagine, just the things I use everyday would add up to nearly £100! When you start picking out what you apply everyday, it's kinda scary just how many things you do pick up without realizing, I didn't even include blush! I did include two lipsticks, because I either use Sleeks Bare All or Revlon Lipstain combined Natural Collections Raspberry all the time, and I honestly couldn't say which I reach for more, it just depends on my mood. I can only hope nobody nicks my make up bag, or I'll have to break the bank to replace this stuff! I can't help but wonder what my entire make up collections worth, but frankly I don't think I want to know!
How much do you guys reckon your face is worth?!

OOTD #005; Things Can Only Get Better

top - h&m shorts - topshop rings - h&m sunglasses - primark

Despite it not really being warm enough, my summer wardrobe is well and truly out. I was going to hit the garden for pictures but it was raining :( typical England! I must of bought this h&m top winter '10, and found it to be FAR too tight. though I've definitely lost weight on my stomach and it's definitely wearable now, I love the colour and detail! I ADORE these sunglasses from primark, my current favourites and for £2!
AND to add to my good mood my avon lady came today with these beauts, which I got for £12 combined! BARGAIN! I can't wait to try the facial duo sachets, i love facemasks, and these little 15ml perfumes were a bargain at 2.50 each and will be lovely for keeping in my college bag :)
ANYWAY, back to boring revision, two exams this friday. I wish I was worrying more! xoxoxoxox

My 11 Most Reached For Make Up Products

1) No 7 Colour Calming Primer (green) £11.00
I bought this on a whim when i was trying to use up £5 no 7 vouchers, and for £6 this primer looked a bargain! I've always had red undertones in my skin due to being pretty fair, so I figured I'd give this a go so I could hopefully go a little lighter on my foundation, and it hasn't disappointed. I wouldn't call this a miracle product or a "must have" but it definitely takes out some of the redness, and I now feel confident going out without foundation if I'm low on time. The only thing I would say is that you only need a very tiny amount if you don't want a green tinge on your face!

2) Revlon Colorstay for normal/dry skin in Ivory £12.49
Pretty much my holy grail foundation. I've always loved a fuller coverage and I instantly fell in love with this foundation. It's a perfect shade for me which is rare in drugstore/high street make up brands, as a lot just don't cater for paler skin. It has SPF in it which is again, essential for pale skin that burn easily like mine does! I honestly couldn't recommend this foundation any more, I've repurchased several times, my only problem is the fact there's no pump and it's hard to control how much foundation actually comes out, but I can live with that!

3) 17 Shine Control Loose Powder £5.49
I stayed away from loose powders for a long time because I believed them to be just messy. But I was tempted by this, because it has got to be one of the cheapest translucent powders on the market, and it instantly became a necessity for my make up bag. Although ofcourse I still use my collection 2000 pressed powder in ivory for on the go, I use this mostly to buff and perfect my foundation in the morning and with having normal/dry skin I usually don't need to powder again. This really is a favourite of mine and something I'd definitely recommend, especially for the price :)

4) Natural Collection Blush in Sweet Cheeks £1.99
I've never particularly been into blushes because I naturally have quite flushed cheeks and therefore did everything to hide them not accentuate them! However when I checked out the natural collection 3 for £5 offer, I thought I'd give this colour a go. For the price they really are amazing blushes, and even though blush isn't something I wear daily, when I do this is the one I reach for straight away. And for £1.99 I'm seriously considering buying a few more!

5) Bourjois Bronzing Powder (lightest shade 51) £6.99
Probably the most raved about high street bronzer, ofcourse I checked it out :) This was the first bronzer I actually bought, I've always found a lot of high street bronzers to be too shimmery or just too dark, and I didn't really want to spend money on buying a higher end product. I never thought I'd be into bronzer, but I do adore this, I'm a bit lost if I don't have this to contour and just give a little colour to my face. I don't want to go on and on about this product because it's been discussed 348013201 times but it really does live up to the hype

6) Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 £4.19
Again another product there is a lot of hype around, sorry for being a massive sheep! I stuck with my avon concealer stick for ages, and only when it ran out i went onto this. I never really liked the liquid concealer idea but this has completed converted me. I've spent so much money on concealers, but this really is the best I've ever tried, I always keep one in my makeup bag for college incase of any sudden breakouts and it really does what it says on the tin, it lasts me all day! Amazing product, and the colour is perfect for me :)

7) Sleek Storm Palette £6.49
This was something I wanted for ages and never got round to buying, but over the past few months it has become a product I literally couldn't live without. If i were to change anything, I'd maybe add a few more matte shades, but this really does have such a mix of neutral, everyday colours nobody should be without. I love using the beige nudes for barely there eyeshadows and the darker browns, greys and black to make the look more dramatic. beautiful, good quality eyeshadows, such a bargain!

8) Avon Supershock Mascara £8.50
My favourite mascara ever! I have about 5 tubes of this mascara lying around to make sure I'm never without it! Gives my lashes such length and volume and works with various other avon mascaras really well to elongate my lashes even further! Mascara is the only thing I never ever buy a different brand of to try, because I couldn't be happier with the way this mascara makes my lashes look. I literally have no complaints, I would recommend this to everyone :) The wand is plastic which i much prefer to brush, and I've never had any problems with the tube drying up before it's empty etc! just amazing :)

9) Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner £7.99
Fairly new addition to my collection, but I adore this eyeliner like no other! I've tried various gel eyeliners but always found that the eyeliner transferred to my upper eyelid, but i really don't have this problem anymore. This eyeliner is beautiful and goes easily on with the fantastic brush that comes with it, which gives you great precision! I love this eyeliner so much and I honestly couldn't go back to any of my other eyeliners, this is the only eyeliner I ever reach for.

10) Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Bare All (matte) £3.99
I've never really found the perfect everyday colour for me, and as a red lip lover, nudes and paler shades never really worked for me. However I took a risk a few weeks ago and bought this colour, and I've been wearing it ever since for shopping/college/everyday. It's a matte shade which for me is essential as I don't really like shimmery lipsticks. This is just the perfect shade for my skin colour because it doesn't wash me out, and I really do love the packaging on these lipsticks, they really do look "sleek" haha ;)

11) 17 Sheer Moisture Lipstick in Beehive £4.29
Another fairly famous high street product, this really is one of my favourite lipsticks, alone or on top of other lipsticks (such as the sleek lipstick above). This lipstick is so moisturizing I love how it feels on the lips, and as i do get dry lips if I don't religiously use my carmex, this really is lovely to keep my lips moisturized. For the price this lipstick is definitely worth checking out!

So these are my 11 couldn't really live without make up products! As you guys will see I don't like splashing out on makeup what with being in college and generally being completely skint, but I love all these products and for the price all of them are absolutely amazing and worth checking out xoxoxoxo
