Marble Nails?!

Job hunting is going painfully slowly, there's just no jobs I'm interested in at the moment, and no money means not much going out and definitely not much spending! So I decided to waste a few hours trying to master marble nails, I've watched so many tutorials on youtube, and they make it look so EASY! But it's definitely harder than it looks, and a lot messier!

What you will need;
  • A cup/glass/container full of not too hot and not too cold (I know, so PICKY) water
  • Nail polish remover
  • Cotton buds to wipe off excess nail polish around your nails
  • Sellotape and scissors
  • Cotton wool to remove any nail polish should it go wrong.
  • Something with a point (Cocktail stick, etc) to swirl the nail polish in the water
  • A surface that should you spill any nail polish, you can easily remove it with nail polish remover (i.e. not your duvet or something!)
  • Nail Polishes of your choice, I chose Sally Hansen Pardon My French, Barry M Black and W7 Bright Pink.

Excuse my manky unpolished nail! Sellotape all the way around the nail, so when you dip it in the water/nail polish combo it goes on the tape instead of all over your fingers!

Now the tricky bit! It took me a good while to get this right, but get your nail polish and drop a bit into the water, then get your next colour and drop that colour INTO the little circle the previous colour has created. If all goes to plan you'll end up with something a bit like the image above. This has to be done fairly quickly, so make sure all your colours are in easy reach and all their tops have been opened.

Now with your cocktail stick or alternative, swirl the colours around in the surface of the water to create a marble swirl effect (above). Then dip your finger in, with your cocktail stick move any of the nearby nail polish still on the surface until it's clear and take your finger out of the water!

It should end up a little bit like this, see why you put the sellotape on now?! Now repeat these steps on all of your nails!

When your nails are done, remove the sellotape and you should end up with a slightly messy look similar to the one above! You will never get the same effect on every nail so embrace the uniqueness of each nail!

Tidy your nails up with nail polish remover on a cotton bud and then add a top coat, I used Andrea Fulertons Gloss Up Overcoat. Clear up any mess, aaaaaand your done!

Hope you like them! It's my first time giving them a go, I don't think they look too bad!

Products Under £5 I'm Loving At The Moment!

I missed the whole July favourites boat, so I thought I'd do something different this month! Being in college this year has meant I've really been on a budget, so I've tried a LOT of cheap makeup, and these are some of my favourite products. Everything mentioned are products I've used a lot, whether I got them a month ago or 6 months ago. I'm not saying I prefer these products to other products I've spent more on, but these are all more than decent alternatives and things that are always in my makeup bag! All these products are amazing quality and things I wouldn't think twice about repurchasing!
Face;
Natural Collection Tinted Moisturiser £1.99 - With a cheap company like Natural Collection you're never going to get a perfect product, especially not where foundation/tinted moisturiser is concerned. I've heard a lot of bad reviews off people with dry skin about this product, but I can honestly say I have dry skin and I didn't have any problems. I have to say I don't think it's moisturising AT ALL, and I still apply moisturiser before I apply this. I am incredibly pale, especially on my face and so I got the colour "fair" not exactly optimistically thinking it'd probably come out orange, as with a lot of drugstore brands lightest shades. However, this gives me a bit of healthy colour and glow without looking like a shiny orange, and I'd say a medium coverage. It has to be blended well do avoid any patches but it lets my skin breathe and with just a dab of concealer over the top, it's perfect for holiday or days you want to look more natural!
Collection 2000 Pressed Powder in Ivory £1.99 - I remember using this about age 14! I suffer from dry skin so I never want a heavy powder, because it leaves me with a cake face. However I like to use powder to buff in my foundation and concealer, and this works a treat! Something I wouldn't recommend to people who suffer from oily skin, because I don't think it would do a particularly good job about protecting against shine for the duration of a day, but if you have normal/dry skin, I definitely recommend this, it's so cheap aswell!
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 - I couldn't NOT mention this! Best concealer I've ever used, I have a massive collection of concealers that are too orange, too light coverage, too cakey, the complete wrong shade, and this is just perfect! I do own one in "light" which is fairly orange, but the "fair" shades are perfect for anyone with really pale skin!

Cheeks;
Beauty UK Baked Blusher in Peaches and Cream £3.99 - I've never really been big on blush, I spend half my time in a morning getting RID of my pink cheeks, but this is one of the first blushes that really converted me! I've always been a fan of glowy skin, and this blush is fairly sheer but leaves you a gorgeous peachy glow on your cheeks that I must say I'm a massive fan of. Most of the time if I do reach for a blush it's this one, and I've used blush more than I ever have before since owning it. If you're looking to try a baked blush, Beauty UK are definitely a good place to start!
W7 Honolulu Bronzer around £2 - Obvious dupe for Benefits Hoola, this is a matt brown shade, pretty much the only type of bronzer I'll use and fantastic quality for the price! I'm pale (as I've already mentioned 3582042 times so far on this post) and for a while I wouldn't step anywhere near a bronzer, let alone a scary dark one like this! It's highly pigmented, and I really have to use this with a light hand or I would end up with a dirt on face look, but it's what I reach for when I want a more bronzed look, as there's definitely more colour payback than my everyday bronzer, the Bourjois chocolate one!

Eyes;
Collection 2000 Big Fake False Last Effect Mascara £4.99 - I actually HATED this when I first got it. I've always loved massive dramatic lashes, and I've had my share of clumpy awful looking spider lashes along the way, and on a 3 for 2 deal in Boots I picked this up, oblivious of the hype surrounding it. I tried it, thought it was rubbish, threw it into a draw and in all honesty, forgot all about it. Then, maybe a month later, I started seeing blog posts and youtube videos going on about this mascara, so I decided to give it a go. It must of dried out a bit or something, but anyway it was WAY better than it was before! I personally prefer it as a second coat over another mascara, but its fine alone aswell. Definitely worth picking up if your looking for a cheap mascara!
MUA Eyeshadows £1 each - I must admit, until I started following beauty blogs and youtubers, I turned my nose up at those really cheap make up stands. 2True, MUA, Natural Collection, I just wasn't interested. I must admit, when I first used to look on the Natural Collection stand I used to sneak to it, grab an eyeshadow and run to the till as fast as possible. I don't know why, it just seems once you pass the 13/14 mark, there's a certain "look" you get off other women when you hit the stand; a similar look to what the audience give greasy haired chavs on the Jeremy Kyle show, maybe this is just my area but there's a fair amount of stigma attached to those sort of stands. Anyway, cheap makeup doesn't always mean bad quality, and although I'm not saying everything in their stands is top notch, you can't go wrong with MUA eyeshadows OR lipstick for that matter, It's ONE POUND, and personally if I'm thinking of experimenting with a colour, I'll look at the cheap stands first just so I can try it with different looks when I get home and see if said colour suits me or not. Definite value for money!

Lips;
Carmex £2.69 - Absolute staple, genuinely do not know what I'd do without it. Only thing that cures my dry lips, absolute holy grail product and for under £3 you can't really complain!
Barry M Lip Paint in 151 Sunset £4.49 - I find Barry M Lip Paints to be a bit hit and miss in terms of quality, there are a good few really chalky drying shades I would never leave the house with on, because they make my lips look bloody awful! But this one is moisturising and a gorgeous coral colour, something I definitely wouldn't wear without bronzer, but on tanned skin this looks amazing and the packaging is gorgeous for the price!
Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Heartbreaker £3.99 - I've been promoting these lipsticks no end and you're probably sick of hearing about them but they honestly are some of the best quality lipsticks for the price! There are so many shades you're easily going to find one to suit you, and the pigment is SO amazing I'm so in love. Definitely worth a try!

And that's it! 10 products I can't live without, all for under £5. I tried to do it so you could do a whole face of make-up with each product costing less than a fiver and I think I just about managed it. I know a few other good lipstick brands for under £5, but I didn't want to take up the whole blog post with them, so I might make another blog post on lip products. I tried to include one of everything if I could, but I just don't own good quality products under £5 for every area, for example I always use gel eyeliners, all over £5, and to tell you one of the pencil eyeliners I use once in a blue moon and are a pain in the backside to put on are among my favourite products is both unrealistic and stupid. Again with highlighters, I don't own one that cost me less than a fiver and for that reason I didn't include it.

Hope you're all having a gorgeous weekend!

What's In My Travel Bag/Travel Make-up Bag!

Hi lovelys! So I usually take three bags in my suitcase, one for haircare and skincare and the other for make up and then I always keep my toothbrush and toothpaste separate in another little bag, which I haven't photographed purely because, it's not exactly interesting stuff. I fly out to Tenerife on friday for two weeks, so hence why I'm bringing quite a lot of makeup. I'm going at about 9am friday morning, which means I have to be at the airport at 6am (eurgh!) so I've packed my little travel bags today, so tomorrow I can do my makeup, just using what's in the make up bag and see if anything missing!

So first, my travel bag of skincare and haircare:
I always bring face packs, just incase my skin gets in quite bad condition, so I've brought these little packs from Avon.

1. I'm hoping to buy some perfumes at duty free, so I'm only bringing one with me, the DKNY be delicious in fresh blossom. This is such a light scent and is perfect for summer. I'm also bringing a spray I got as a little loyalty present from my Avon rep a couple of orders ago, which I love and I'm so grateful to her, because it's something I'd probably never of bought. Anyway it reminds me of summer and holiday, so that's why I'm taking it above my other sprays. And ofcourse deodrant is a must!
2. I'm bringing a comb because this helps detangle my hair and my hair always seems to be worse on holiday, also I can really backcomb and add volume to my hair with this.  A brush, for obvious reasons! I bought this VO5 2 in 1 shampoo so I don't have to bring a conditioner and it's a cute size that should last me the duration. And dry shampoo is a must, and batiste is easily my favourite, I've gone for the Tropical one!
3. Bringing these little nail polish remover pads are so much easier than bringing a big bottle of nail polish remover, and much lighter! I bought a travel size pack of face wipes because I usually use massive packs that would just take up too much room, these are from nivea and I don't think I've ever tried them, but my skin isn't really sensitive so they should work just aswell as all the rest I've tried :) Next are cotton buds. cotton wool and little pads. These are for my toner and removing eye make up, I use cotton buds to perfect my eyeliner aswell if it goes a bit wonky :)
4.I used the little bottles from the hotel bathroom last year, you know those free shampoos and body washes and stuff? Those bottles :) I put my Simple eye make up remover in one, Garnier 7 day moisturizer and my No7 toner in the other. I haven't gone mad this year, because my skins better than it has been for ages and I don't really need a massive skin routine.
5. Bobbles and bobbypins are essentials, I have my hair up a lot on holiday, purely because my hairs really long and I'm about 50x hotter with it down than up. I brought my Vaseline lip balm which I use at night, because I find it takes ages to soak in, but by morning my lips are so soft! I've brought two scrubs, the Clinique scrub and also the Sanctuary one. The Clinique one I'll be using on my face, and the Sanctuary on the rest of my body.

Now my makeup bag!

Now powder is quite essential for holiday, I have dry skin, but even I find with the help of a tinted moisturizer my skin is looking a bit on the shiny side. My favourite of the moment is the 17 Shine Control Loose Powder which doesn't make you completely matte but still controls your shine (hence the name). I use bronzers more than usual when I'm on holiday, because my body tans and my face usually doesn't, probably due to the high protection I always put on to avoid burning. I've gone for the beautiful Bourjois bronzer and my favourite Fake Bake Bronze Shimmer Brick Light, which I'll be putting underneath my tinted moisturiser to give me glowy skin, hopefully! For blushes, I've been enjoying the Topshop Blush in Flush which gives you a cheeky flush of colour, and a Beauty UK Baked Blush in Peaches and Cream, which gives a beautiful finish and my current favourite blush!

I'm only bringing neutral eyeshadows for my trip, and a lot of my favourites are from Avon. I've brought my Avon Quad in Tiger Eyes, which has a perfect colour for my brows, and 3 other beautiful neutral brown colours. Natural Collections Seashell is a perfect base, Clinique sample duo in Sea Shore is perfect for a smoky eye and an Avon baked eyeshadow in Moonsand is a beautiful shade. Not forgetting my Avon Neutral Tone Palette, which is perfect for barely there natural eye makeup :)

Lips products are probably what I'm bringing the most of. I just have such a diverse lip colour day to day, I couldn't NOT bring a couple of shades, plus there's not much you can do with your eyes when you've got sunglasses on all day, so you can really work a more brave colour on your lips. Natural Collection Raspberry is a beautiful "raspberry" shade (I know, I'm an A* Blogger) and as it's one of the moisture shine lipsticks, it's gorgeous for dry lips and a completely bargain at £1.99 :) Sleeks "Vixen" is a classic red, and can be worn fully for a dramatic lip, or put on lightly for a much more wearable colour. Topshop Lipstick in On The Town is a beautiful Lilac colour, which comes more on the lips as a baby pink/lilac, which is a lot more wearable than you would think, I'm definitely keen to get a few more Topshop lippies. 17s Beehive is a must for everyone and can be worn alone or over another shade, just a must have! The Jemma Kidd coral lipgloss free with Red magazine has quickly become a favourite and I love wearing this alone for a slight coral colour on the lips. A clear lipgloss, this one is from Clarins, is essential to put over every lip colour to add some super shine! Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm in Flame is my personal favourite lip stain, and a beautiful colour, that's a lot more wearable than some other bright red shades. And finally Carmex, because it's a bloody essential for us dry lip sufferers!

My favourite eyeliner is easily maybelline gel eyeliner, so ofcourse it's the one i'm taking! Other years i've taken a black, brown, grey, blue etc but I ever use half of them so I'm sticking to boring black. I'm bringing 3 mascaras, purely because I use all 3 on a day to day basis and they work hand in hand to create my everyday eyes and well, I need them all. All worth a try, I don't think SuperFull works very well at all alone, but adds amazing length on top of a good volume mascara.

the primer I'm using at the moment is the one from Avon (I know, this has turned into a bit of an Avon love post) and I'm sure it's not the best out there and I probably won't repurchase but it does do the job. I'm bringing my Healthy Mix foundation to wear at night when I want more coverage and the Natural Collection Tinted moisturiser for in the day. I'll pair these both with the Collection 2000 concealer. Mine is running out, and I'm hoping it lasts me the 2 weeks orelse I'll have to try something while I'l abroad and I don't hold out much hope for any store holding the "milk bottle white" kinda shade. And High Beam, free with this months/last months Glamour purely because it's smaller than my dupe MeMeMe full sized version.

Here's my collection of drugstore brushes I'm taking. These are the brushes I use all the time on a day to day basis so these are the ones I'll be using. Instead of bringing either of my foundation brushes I've decided on bringing my QVS "The Airbrush" as it gives me a much lighter and more flawless coverage, and despite shedding a little when I first bought it, I adore it at the moment. There's a fair few eyeshadow brushes I'm taking as I tend to wear more eyeshadow than I normally would on holiday, and a few angled brushes and my little kabuki for bronzer and blush etc.

l-r GOSH Lavender Love and Peachy, Barry M Mint Green, Berry Ice Cream and Coral And W7 (doesn't say a name).
These are all quite summery colours, and I couldn't only bring ONE nail polish, I'm far too indecisive. I narrowed it down to these 6 favourite summer shades, and I love them all. GOSH nail paints aren't talked about enough, they are beautiful even if they don't have the best shade range.

So that's it! Tomorrow I'm packing, so if I have time I might do a little post, but otherwise from Friday I'll be away for two weeks in sunny Tenerife! I'm not going to have internet access at all, so obviously during that time I won't be able to respond to any comments and I won't be making any new posts, though hopefully on the break reading a LOT of magazines will fill me with a lot of inspiration and ideas of posts I can do when I get back.
Love you all!

Nine Products I Regret Buying.

So I've been busy during the weekend and what not so I haven't really had time to blog until now. Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday with their dads! As a "family occasion" I took it as an opportunity to wear next to no makeup out, I'm trying to ease myself out of the eyeliner habit ready for my holiday, I'm hoping to get myself a tinted moisturiser at the airport, but I know a lot are pretty hit and miss so I'll probably stick to my healthy mix and a bright lip for daytime and adding mascara and a nice nude eyeshadow for night. I like the fact on holiday you're wearing sunglasses the majority of the daytime so the need for mascara etc is gone and you can focus on a gorgeous lip colour!
So onto the nine (I know, I should of counted earlier and made it ten) products I regret buying. Now don't be moaning that you love one of these products and that they're really great, because I'm well aware that different things work for different people so this is just my opinion etc etc!

Barry M Lip Paint in 100;
I just hate this! I bought it purely on the hype and I heard it was better that 101 Marshmellow known for the gorgeous "foundation on lips" effect it gives. It's a matte white pink, now Barry M Lip Paints are known to be a bit hit and miss, I have a gorgeous coral (151) that is moisturising and just beautiful on the lips but this I have 1 word for - CHALKY. The main selling point is that it stays completely put, but when it looks this awful I want it to disappear instantly. It shows up every problem area of your lips and you can make it look decent by having a good scrub at your lips before and shoving a lip gloss over the top, but for my skin tone it just washes me out completely, and even if it didn't, it's all too much work for me. In contrast Sleek Lipsticks, about the same price are consistently good for pigmentation and not too drying on the lips, even the matte shades. If you were to buy any of the lip paints I'd definitely try before you buy to avoid any disappointment, because some of the shades really are good quality.

Avon Calming Effects Foundation in Ivory;
I'm not even sure if this is available anymore, but I can't stand it. Mine smells like playdough? I don't even know. I got this in the lightest shade "Ivory". I think it must be the shade that every brand gets most wrong. It's always either too orange or the pink undertone too strong. This comes out a light salmon colour, which I've got to say I'm not really a fan of. I like foundations that cover my redness, so a foundation that makes my entire face the same colour as my rosy cheeks just ain't a winner for me. It seems to highlight the dry parts of my skin and just looked cakey shortly after application. The bottle is cute though, so it looks quite nice on your dressing table, that's the only positive I really can give it.

Rimmel Match Perfection Powder in Ivory;
I know you shouldn't write off brands completely, but with Rimmel and their "Ivory" shade I can safely say I'll never be buying from their range again. Should I ever decide to fake tan, this shade would work. But for my skin tone? No. I heard a bit of hype around the time Rimmel released the range and I headed down to pick up this powder. I thought it looked a little orange for my skintone, but figured it wouldn't come out too strong. How wrong I was, this just makes my face orange. Which when you've got a pale body, doesn't look all that great. Something I've literally never reached for since buying it.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse In Ivory;
Does this give you lovely memories to being about 13 and thinking this was the best foundation ever? When on the hunt for a new concealer a few months ago I bought this purely to act as one. I must of been looking at this through rose tinted glasses when I was 12 because on my dry skin this just looks horrendous. It makes me break out in probably record time and I don't even have really ~ sensitive skin ~. This is probably the reason I had horrendous skin when I was younger, and used even more of this to cover it up, which in turn would again make it worse, what a vicious circle! This would probably work ok on oily skin, I don't really know but, on me it just looks cakey.com

2True Cheek 'n' Lip Tint;
Now this cost £1.99 so not the biggest loss of the century, but I was disappointed. Anybody who's even vaguely into makeup can see this is a dupe of "Benetint", with a massive difference in price. Now although this isn't the worst product ever, it's far from the best. the applicator, similar to a nail polish applicator is quite stiff and I really struggle putting this on my lips because it's so bloody ticklish! It doesn't give an amazing colour, but a "my lips but better shade". My main problem with this is the taste. I know you're not supposed to lick the lipstain but, it tastes so chemical and just not good at all. It's a bit too watery in my opinion to even attempt to put on your cheeks and having pale skin, I'd probably end up resembling a clown.

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in Peach;
This just isn't the right shade for me at all. I picked it up in a bit of a rush, it'd look beautiful with a tan but it just doesn't suit me at all, I think the only time I reach for it is when I'm swatching it, so a big waste of money.

The Body Shop Eyeshadow in 13;
This is just so heavily overpriced for what it is. I paid £6 for this, an off white colour that has literally hardly any pigment at all. I like nude eyeshadows, but there's a difference between an eyeshadow looking natural and looking exactly the same as if you haven't applied the eyeshadow in the first place. There is literally no difference between me applying this eyeshadow and not doing, it doesn't even act as a base. Completely useless product, and I could get 6 MUA eyeshadows for the same price, which are bigger in size and better quality. RUBBISH!

No7 High Shine Lipgloss in Whisper;
This tastes so nice, take note 2true! But seriously this has a really nice candy sweet taste I adore! But that's where the positives end. This is meant to be "high shine" so I went for the nudest "whisper" hoping I could put it over various lipsticks. Now made obvious by the clear tube, there is some shimmer going on. But this goes over lipsticks nearly completely opaque, with enough shimmer to keep ke$ha happy. But in all honestly, it's just not that wearable. It's just too shimmery, which is great is that's what you're looking for, but in a "high shine" lipgloss I wasn't and I'm glad I used a £5 no7 voucher because I definitely wouldn't buy this at full price £9.

Barry M Kohl Pencils in Light Blue and Navy;
I bought these to try and add some colour to my eyes during summer. But these are just, too damn hard! I have to press so hard to get any kind of colour payback, these just aren't worth possible damage, though the navy is better than the turquoise in terms of pigmentation. I've heard some people also have suffered from conjunctivitus after using these eyeliners, so whether that's true or not I don't know but I rarely pick up either of these.

What Products do you regret buying?!

May Favourites - And I've Loved A LOT of things this month!

How can it be the end of may already?! MADNESS! I warn you now, I've loved a fair few products this month, hence why I've taken pictures to try and break it up a little. Certain things I haven't included purely because I haven't particularly changed what I use eg. Mascara wise I still use Avon Supershock Mascara and I still love Maybelline gel eyeliner. I was careful not to include powders, because I think I'm going to do a review on some of the powders I've got, and while I'm varying it up I can't tell you one as a definite favourite. I've also kept nail polishes out because I'll be making a seperate post on my favourites! Apart from that I genuinely love ALL these products and I would recommend every single one of them!
Perfumes;
This is definitely my favourite perfume of all time. I'm rubbish at describing perfumes, so all I'll say is that to me it's flowery and fruity and just beautiful. If you haven't already, go into boots/wherever and give this a spray. I fell in love with it months before I originally bought it, and put it off purely because I couldn't justify the price. But trust me, it's worth the money. It's so long lasting, it's my favourite throughout winter, I still use it in summer and it's what I reach for before going out at night. Mine is running out, so hopefully it will last out until July and I can pick up a new one at duty free before I go on holiday :)
This is my ultimate spring/summer scent. It's so light and fresh and floral and just lovely! Again I'm rubbish at describing scents so I'm not going to go on and on, but this is one of the only DKNY be delicious perfumes that I actually like, though it's not incredibly long lasting like Miss Dior Cherie, so it's not something that I would possibly repurchase at full price purely because I don't like re-applying perfume all the time. Other than that I really have no complaints!

This is in no way a "miracle" product or something that's completely unique, but I really do love this. It's so cheap and I'm into the smell of vanilla in a major way of recent, this is just brilliant for putting all over your body at night and waking up smooth and soft and smelling lovely! For the price definitely worth a try if you're looking for a cheap body lotion
This has been raved about loads so I'm not going to ramble on, but this is brilliant for those really dry patches, and I really do see overnight improvement. And for just under £3, you can't really go wrong.
I'm not really a great sufferer of spots I'll be honest, I seem to go weeks without a breakout and then BAM, in the duration of about 3 days spots just appear on random parts of my face. And when this happens, nothing really seems to help, Clearasil oddly makes my skin even worse, I just can't win. However when I use this I find that if I do have a breakout it's a lot less severe and they seem to happen a lot less. I love the idea that you can use this product as either a wash or a mask. I use it as a mask about once a week and my skin feels amazing after. Seriously recommend, though not really suffering all that bad in the first place I can't really say I've tried all that much else on the market.
My favourite scrub out there. I bought this from boots around christmas and I use it religiously, still not anywhere near empty. At £9, it was quite a lot to pay for a scrub at the time but the amount i got in the tub was unbelievable and this gets rid of all dead skin and after my skin is left so soft and smooth! Smells amazing and I love the fact it contains a lot of minerals really beneficial to the skin! Absolute BARGAIN, but I fear boots have stopped selling :(

Pretty much the queen of hairspray. My hair does NOT like hairspray, and some hairsprays literally have no effect at all, and others make my hair stiff and horrible, and who wants amazing hair when it's horrible to touch? Not me anyway. This is just amazing, and I've been getting a lot of use out of it recently. I love the fact it doesn't leave my hair really stiff but still keeps it completely in place. LOVE!
I could rave about this until the cows come home. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! My hair was in such bad condition until this little beauty walked into my life. I am in no way exaggerating when I say my split ends = gone! And trust me, before I used this I had more than a few. It smells bloody good too, it's just a completely amazing product. When I bought it I honestly wasn't expecting my split ends to be completely eliminated but they are! It says you can use it on dry or towel dry hair, but personally I wouldn't put it on completely dry hair because it probably would leave your hair sticky. You don't need to use this every day, so I just use it when I get out of the shower before I dry my hair and once my hair is dry there isn't a split end in sight. And I think the price is brilliant for the product, but if you're on a budget, this is on offer with all other selected herbal essences products in Boots for 2 for £5, and seeing this is £5.10 usual price, you're definitely quids in!
These are my shampoo and conditioner of choice at the moment, they leave my hair silky and smooth and smell gorgeous! That's about it really!

The packaging on this product has recently changed, but I'm presuming it's still the same product. A clear dupe of Benefits Moon Beam, but at a much more attractive price. I love this for a night out above cheekbones, it gives such a pretty shimmer and I definitely need to try out MeMeMe's "moonbeam" which has more pink undertones. Such a pretty product!
Apologies for mine looking a bit grubby, it's well loved! I've never really been a fan on bronzers so it's really a surprise to me how much I adore this product. It's beautiful and matte with only a little shimmer, so it's brilliant for wearing in the day aswell as night! Again it's a highly raved about product so I'm not going to go on too much, but if you're looking for a cheap bronzer this one should be top of your list! It's also done in three different shades so it suits both pale skintones like mine and darker ones. And to add to all that, it smells delicious!
I honestly didn't think I'd like this! I got it on a whim from savers purely because I noticed how much of a dupe it is for the brightening part of the Too Faced leopard complexion perfection palette I've been eyeing up for a while but unable to justify the price. I love the colour each of the parts of this powder make, and I love using this as a subtle blush. Such a versatile product and I can't get over how cheap it is!
I've never tried cream blushers but this one is a-mazing! I love the fact you can either use a little to add a subtle colour of build the colour up. It blends beautifully and I love this colour! There's definitely a few more I fancy picking up, there are 4 shades in this collection and I'll probably get all of them, too pretty!

It's a massive shock to me that I've strayed from Colourstay but this is absolutely AMAZING! After winter, I was finding Colourstay a bit too heavy coverage for what I was looking for. I'm sure my skin has improved aswell, so I picked this up because I know a lot of people swear by it. Although it's sheer and gives a glowy finish, it still has a solid medium coverage and it's possibly overtaken colourstay as the favourite. It took me a while for this to grow on me, but now it's what I reach for everyday without fair. Definitely worth a try, smells amazing and has something colourstay has never had... A PUMP! I'm in love.
Best. Concealer. I've. Ever. Used. And that's all I have to say on that one.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Raspberry - £1.99 (not available online)
I'm in love with this colour, and all the lipsticks in this range are lovely on the lips, so moisturizing and have pretty good keep for the price. I love putting this over my just bitten lipstain to add some moisture and even out the colour. Definitely need to purchase some more colours out of this range!
This shade is a matte colour, and one of my favourite sleek lipsticks. Every other sleek lipstick I have is a bright colour, but I love wearing this for college or when I can't be bothered messing about with brights. It's not a nude nude, it doesn't make me look like I have foundation on my lips or anything, it just gives my lips a subtle colour and lasts pretty well!
I've had bad experiences with Barry M lip paints, I think because I've always only bought those damn nudes 100 and 101, both which make me look like I thought foundation lips was a good idea. But this colour is a beautiful dark red/coral colour and I absolutely adore it! I own nothing like it and I bought it really without even looking at the colour during the boots 3 for 2 offer. I adore this and I've had it on so much over the past few weeks. Unlike my other Barry M lip paints it's not drying and it's really buildable, you can wear it everyday or build it up for a night out. Probably my favourite may favourite make up wise (did that make sense?!)
Best lip balm ever! Put this on every morning and night and leaves my lips beautiful! Lifesaver product!
I adore this colour! It's a bright red, but comes out a lot less bright than you think. Probably my favourite lipstain because it really does stay put. I love this shade, and although if you're not careful the lipstain can come out uneven, with the balm over the top, lipgloss or my natural collection lipstick, it looks perfect. I love this and I'm definitely going to pick up some more shades for this collection. I'm fairly new to lipstains so I'll be keeping you updated

AND THAT'S IT! phew, time for a coffee and a lie down!
Hope you guys had a lovely weekend, I stupidly watched Titanic and spent Saturday night with Mascara all over my face, blotchy skin and puffy eyes. NOT A GOOD LOOK!
If you stuck out til the end you deserve a gold star, I promise I'll make June favourites a lot smaller!

My first attempt on the ombre nail trend! I've seen this on so many blogs recently so I decided to give it a go! I went for blues because I thought the Barry M colours blended beautifully! I'm definitely gonna try this is different colours, such a pretty effect! I fancy a try in pink and maybe browns.
I think I'll probably skip college tomorrow afternoon because revision sessions are so boring! If so I'll probably do a bit of bargain hunting and might have a little haul for you guys!

Nails #003 AZTEC!

I followed this tutorial watch here
I really wanted to do aztec inspired nails, and they've turned out a bit messy this time around but i think it adds a little something that they're not completely even and perfect (that's my excuse anyway). so I loved the colours used in the tutorial I took inspiration from, though obviously I substituted the nail polishes used for similar ones I own.
Nail Polishes: Barry M Mushroom, Bright Pink and Peach Melba, Black & White Nail Art Pens, Natural Collection Clear as top coat :)
